Dans le quotidien du collecteur : l'impôt romain d'après l'archive de Murabba'ât

Abstract : In this paper, I present information from the fiscal documents found in the wadi Murabbaʽât. These documents are useful not only in fiscal matters, but eventually for understanding the identity of a rural Jewish community of the second century. It may be, indeed, that these fiscal documents are of interest to the historian who wants to discover the daily life of a small community, because they give evidence regarding the identity and competences of their authors, the agricultural productions, the richness and onomastic of many forgotten taxpayers, and the way the authors understood the limits between the fellow and the foreigner.
